On the second and third of February, TECNALIA Ventures started the EMENTOR project, financed by EIT Raw Materials, to build a mentor network specialized in entrepreneurship who will support new business initiatives in the Raw Materials field.
TECNALIA Ventures is the coordinator of said project in partnership with other five European organizations (LTU Business AB, Trinity College Dublin, RWTH Aachen University, Mektory-Tallinn and Hub Innovazione Trentino) to set the basis of the network.
The platform aims to enforce the phenomenon of entrepreneurship and intraentrepreneurship in the raw materials field in Europe. Therefore, the aim won’t be reduced to Start-ups and/or pre-Start-ups. Innovative projects with a clear business-generating view will be targeted too, helping them convert into spin-off companies.
The total budget or the project is of 137.000€ and the project will last a year. In the future, EMENTOR aims to grow incorporating the rest of EIT Raw Materials’ partners, and become the main , mentor network in the field.
